I swear, PS5 has been the dumbest console.

I don’t ever get to really see it. Welcome page is full of widgets and every other icon has its own background. Kind of pointless.

Still waiting for the 30th anniversary stuff to return.

Well I just checked and I have them. Ended up going with the Yotei one. It’s a neat little addition but like everyone else said, it’s pretty much entirely blocked by all the widgets so kind of useless.

Was a tough decision between Ghost of Tsushima or Ghost of Yotei. Decided to go for Yotei.

It's a step in the right direction but I'd much rather have the option of having them in place permanently across the entire home screen. I don't need a pop up of every game I happen to scroll by

Hey! I have them in the US, but it mostly just reminds me I don't really play or care much about the first party games and went back to the Pro one. Give me animated backgrounds from games I actually own and we'll be getting somewhere.

For those complaining about the widgets, you can actually adjust them manually, and it will look great. Mine only has three widgets, and I have placed them all the way to the left of the screen, so I can see Eve and the planet just fine to the right. It really is animating too, which is neat.

I have them- and they're nice. I like most of them, but a couple don't really have good fidelity to match my 4k screen. My favorite is probably both Ghosts games & Rift Apart (even though I haven't played it yet).

An addition that is cool for those that want it and harmless to those that don't. Complaining that this has been added as a feature is genuinely asinine.

I went with Astro Bot, as a reminder that I have to play the game. Better than a post-it note.

With all the PlayStation consoles I’ve owned, I’ve never changed the wallpaper to something custom. I just leave it on the default. If the console is turned on then there’s a game I’m playing, so I’ve never felt the need to change it. Maybe I’ll start with this.

I got the update and the backgrounds are pretty cool. Definitely better than what we've had for years now.

On another note, somehow I was expecting the Stellar Blade animated background to include ......'jiggle physics'. I wonder why??

So, if I wanna see the faces in the two "Ghost of …" backgrounds, I need to delete some games, so the icons don't block it. Got it.

And to use the GOW and Horizon VR one, I need to downgrade to a smaller non HD-TV. Got it.
